Award-winning producer Shelly Reese brings extensive print and film project management experience to the Arrowhead Films team. She most recently managed production of the Discovery Asia documentary Himalayan Meltdown and is currently working as producer on a documentary capturing the history of Army medical helicopter evacuation.
Shelly devoted ten years to her role as studio manager for famed photographer, Will van Overbeek, where she learned what it takes to produce award-winning campaigns for large advertising agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, BBDO and Wieden & Kennedy and hard-hitting editorial projects for magazines such as Time, Rolling Stone and National Geographic Traveler.
In addition to producing, Shelly has worked solidly as casting director, location scout, and editorial photographer for the past fourteen years. Shelly has produced projects for the Discovery Channel, New Balance, Getty Images, HBO, Warner Brothers, and National Geographic. She has cast campaigns for brands such as Toyota, Microsoft, AT&T, Jaguar, McDonalds and Coca-Cola. Her editorial photography has appeared in American Photography, Entertainment Weekly, US News and World Report, and Reader’s Digest. Shelly has years of location scouting and managing experience for numerous films, and for the highly acclaimed NBC series, Friday Night Lights. She was also featured as a “Fresh” photographer in Communication Arts.

An ardent supporter of the arts, Shelly serves on the Board of Directors for the Alliance, a media group consisting of casting directors, talent agents, and acting coaches and on the board of the Arts in Education Council for the Austin Independent School District.
